Tips About Gel Nail Polish You Can’t Afford To Miss
Have you ever wanted to use gel nail polish, but don’t know how to apply it or what kind of topcoat to use? You’ve come to the right place. There are many wonderful advantages of gel nail polish. It is a type of gel product used for nails that can only be applied by a professional. Gel manicures do not wear off like traditional nail polish and can last up to 14 days!
However, it only lasts if applied in the right way. Therefore, we prepared this brief guide to share with you tips about gel nail polish that you can’t afford to miss.
First thing first, getting a good manicure is all about preparation. Start by removing any old nail polish from your nails using pure acetone remover. Don’t use regular nail polish remover because it will make your nails go white and streaky.
Next, you want to wash your hands thoroughly with warm water and soap, making sure to remove all traces of the acetone remover from your cuticles and skin around the nails.
Dry your hands then push back your cuticles using a wooden stick soaked in cuticle oil. Don’t use metal anything on your cuticles, because it can cause infection and damage to the skin.
Once you have finished preparing them, shape your nails with a file, if needed. You might want to round them off at the edges slightly so they don’t snag on anything, or leave them square if that is what you prefer.
The important thing is that they are all shaped properly and any ragged edges are filed down before applying the gel polish. Now that your nails are all ready, apply your gel polish in the regular way you always do–a layer of base coat, two coats of gel color polish, and finish it with a top coat. Remember to let each coat dry out completely.
